Let's find the ratio of volume of a cone and cylinder if radius and height are same for both .

- V for cone=1/3πr²h
- V for cylinder=πr²h
The ratio is 1:3
First find the slope of f(x).
m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
m=(1-5)/(2-0)
m=-4/2
m=-2
y=-2x+b, using (2,1) we can solve for the y-intercept, "b"
1=-2(2)+b
1=-4+b
5=b
y=-2x+5
So f(x) has a y-intercept of 5
g(x)=6m+3
So g(x) has a y-intercept of 3
h(x)=3x+4
So h(x) has a y-intercept of 4
Then g(x) has the lowest y-intercept of just 3.
The answer is negative three ( -3 )
12. On addition, you can just combine like terms.
2v^3+(-v^3)=v^3
-v+v cancels each other out
8+(-3)=5
So you have v^3+5
14 On subtraction, you have to remember to distribute the negative sign so after you do that you have:
4h^3+3h+1+5h^3-6h+2
Then you can combine like terms
4h^3+5h^3=9h^3
3h-6h=-3h
1+2=3
So you end up with:
9h^3-3h+3
