Dear Mr. Jenkins,
THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE MY SCHOOL FUNCTION PROPERLY
I greet you, sir. My name is Walter Bright and I'm principal of Good Shepherd schools here in California.
I believe there are some things that can move education forward in our district. Things like an introduction to visual learning can greatly help students to learn better and hold the information they have learned for much longer after they are taught.
This system is already in practice in some schools in the state and country and there has been a high level of success recorded so far. Children, who have much sharper brains can assimilate visual information faster and retain that information for longer.
I hope you listen to this suggestion and consider it so it can be implemented.
Yours faithfully,
Walter Bright.
Answer:
If I'm not wrong sentence two " You might say that when this
happens, the rock is getting sunburned." and sentence four "But while the rock is buried underground—before running water chews it out of the desert floor—it’s shaded from cosmic rays, so no beryllium-10 develops."
is the the two examples showing personification.
Explanation:
In this sentence: "You might say that when this
happens, the rock is getting sunburned." a rock cannot get sunburned so it's using personification giving human things to non-humans.
and in this sentence: But while the rock is buried underground—before
running water chews it out of the desert floor—it’s shaded
from cosmic rays, so no beryllium-10 develops." It shows personification because it says "before running water chews it out of the desert floor" and we know that water can't chew.
Immolate comes from the root word imolat- which means “sprinkled with sacrificial meal.”It often means a sacrifice of some sort. Hope this helps! :)
