Hello,
I feel that the yellow fever epidemic was such a devastating time. The yellow fever caused many people to lose the lives leaving behind orphaned children to be put into over crowded orphanages.
Not only, the affects of yellow fever had horrible side effects. As stated in the text, “spewing streams of vomit black with digested clots”. The effects of catching yellow fever was dangerous and usually led to death. The extreme temperatures led to a high population of mosquitoes which must have carried the yellow fever.
If you have any questions I will answer them the to the best of my abilities.
Have a great day,
IChameleon
Answer:
Compound sentence.
Explanation:
The fact that a semi-colon is present (this is usually my sign) and there are two independent clauses shows that this is a compound sentence.
"Marigolds" takes place in a town which is a slum area, in rural Maryland during the Great depression. The narrator, Elizabeth, remembers it as a "Dry September" which the situation with Miss Lotties marigolds took place. (hopefully that helps for a start, of course you can always take something out or add more information) good luck :)
