Answer:
The punishment for removing weight from the 'handicap bag' was so harsh because if anyone would remove weight then others, too, would want to remove weights from their handicap bag, which will make their society step back to the Dark Ages of competition.
Explanation:
Harrison Bergeron is a short story written by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. The story is about a dystopian society, where people are living in 2081 and all people are equal in society.
There is an agency named the United States Handicapper General, which puts a 'handicap bag' around the neck of people who are more smarter and wiser than others. It is done so that people may not feel inferior to anyone.
The bag weighs around forty-seven pounds and is tied around the neck of <em>handicap </em>people. The punishment to remove weight from <em>'handicap bag' </em>is severe because if anyone would remove the weight from their bags then others would likely do the same, which will bring chaos in the society. This chaos most likely will result in going back to the <em>Dark Ages </em>where people were not equal and competitive.

<em>'“If I tried to get away with it,” said George, “then other people’d get away with it—
and pretty soon we’d be right back to the dark ages again, with everybody competing against everybody else...'</em>
Answer:
The answer is Hare and the tortoise.
Explanation:
It is related that in a certain far-off forest, a haughty hare and a humble tortoise used to live rosy life. The here was swift in his pace, but the tortoise was slow in his pace. At times, it so happened when they got together the arrogant hare spared no chance to tease the tortoise for his sluggish nature. The poor tortoise always listened and kept quiet. One day the tortoise challenged the hare to run a race with him which he accepted. Both the hare and the tortoise fixed the day for the race between two extremes.
Thus, the race started and in no time the hare was out of sight due to his brisk speed. As the tortoise was moving at a snail’s pace, so he was left far behind. On the way the hare thought that the slow-moving tortoise would never reach the winning point in time, he lay down under a cool shady tree and soon he slept. On the other hand, the tortoise kept walking slowly but steadily. While the tortoise was on his way, he caught a sight of the hare enjoying a sweet sleep. The tortoise moved on with the same slow pace but with firm conviction in his success. The time passed by swiftly but stealthily for the sleepy hare. At length, the tortoise reached the top of the hill quite amazingly.
Hope this helps....
Have a nice day!!!!
Well, an epic is a long poem, typically one derived from ancient oral tradition, narrating and adventures of a heroic figure (like Hercules, Beowulf) when you think of an epic just try to remember myths and legends. And with that, I do not think D or C are the answer just due to epics aren't making fun of their culture and the pov (point of view) doesn't change during an epic or story for that matter it gets confusing. Also with answer, A, not every epic has an enchantress so I believe B is the correct answer.
