Freezing rain is a form of rain that falls through an extreme cold climatic condition of the atmosphere and the temperature near the surface of earth is below zero degree Celsius or 32 degrees F. This rain freezes as it comes in contact with the objects such as trees, electrical cables, bridges, roads etc. Due to this the weight of trees increases. This rain form is also a kind of weather threat as it leads to majority of accidents in winter storms
The most logical contributing factor for the endangered status of black-footed ferret is Human encroachment. Farmers and ranchers (with government assistance) eliminated many prairie dogs because their underground complexes were destructive to fields. This led to decrease in the prairie dog populations, the primary prey of black-footed ferret.
