The story “<em><u>Broken Chain</u></em>” is written by <u>Gary Soto </u>and it deals with the teenager struggles that arise in Alfonso’s life. He doesn’t like the way he looks but he wants so badly to impress a girl named Sandra.
Question: A student is writing a paragraph about "Broken Chain" that makes the point that Alfonso’s conflict in the story is mainly an internal one. What would be the best illustration of this point?
Answer: A. He hates the way he looks and spends hours “trying to herd his teeth into place with his thumb.”
How he is blind, Who his family was, How he gets food/live.
Sentiences 3 and 8 because they express emotional thought other than fact. For sentence three, using "terrible waste" can be debateable and shows more of an opinion. And sentence 8, by using "shouldn't" showing its still a posssiby something can or can not happen.
It depends whether you are writing a fiction book, say for example you a writing a book on the Victorians, it was a fact file, you would have to use events from real life i.e the death of Queen Victoria<span />
