Please help me ASAP, i will give a thanks and rate you 5 stars. Review the surface area and volume formulas for the following fi
gures: cone, cylinder, cube, pyramid, rectangular prism, sphere, triangular prism.
Think about the relationship between the surface area and volume of each shape. What are the pros and cons of each shape from a packaging design standpoint. Which figure will you chose for your cereal box design? Write down the formulas for the surface area and volume of this figure and explain why you choose it. You will turn in the following: a paragraph discussing the figure you will use for your packaging design, including the name of the figure you choose, the formula for its surface area, the formula for its surface volume and the reasons why you believe it is the best figure for your cereal box. This is for Unit 6 lesson 8 for people who go to Connexus Academy, who will know what i am needing help on.
I think the best figure for a cereal box would be a cylinder. There are no corners on a cylinder where it is hard to fit round pieces of cereal into. The formula for the surface area of the cylinder is 2*pi*r*h+2*pi*r^2. The formula for the volume of the cylinder is pi*r^2*h. (Then I would add some more info supporting why you think a cylinder would make a good box.)
