The standardization of the English language in the eighteenth century benefited publishers as it increased sales of literary works.
Standardizing is the process of the development and it consists on the refinement and fixing of language. The development in 18th century took place because of Samuel Johnson, son of a bookseller, who made lasting contributions to English language. It was a part of linguistic movement and it made the printing process efficient, as well.
