These molecules have two distinct ends to them: a water-loving (hydrophilic) side and a water-fearing (hydrophobic) side. The hydrophobic portions of the lipid bilayer - the lipid tails - face towards one another, which allows them to hide away from the water inside and outside of the cell.

There was much devastation during the hurricanes. Belongings, Houses, Properties, an even Lives were taken by these disasters. This opened the communities' eyes more as to the effect that a natural disaster can have, and it helped people to realize the severity of the warnings that are given.
