This is called a difference of squares which always factors according to the rule for factoring the difference of squares....
(a^2+b^2)=(a+b)(a-b) in this case:
9w^2-16 so
(3w-4)(3w+4)
Use Pythagorean Theorem:
c = sr (a^2 + b^2) = sr (3^2 + 5.3^2)
= sr (9 + 28.09) = sr (37.09)
= 6.09 = 6.1
