I would say Metaphor for this one.
A hyperbole is an exaggeration, but a metaphor means comparing something (without using like or as) figuratively, not literally.
So I'm thinking "dark clouds of racial prejudice" and "the deep fog of misunderstanding" are metaphors.

I'm no psychologist, but I'd say the answer is B, as that's pretty much the stereotype given to people with mental illnesses.
