A lyric is like a duet or melody. The lines of the lyric tend to rhyme and sync with each other.
Free verse Poetry:

Free Verse Poetry: Do not follow "the" rules, have no rhyme or rhythm
Notice the words " Free Verse". They don't contain any rhyming or similar words. Yes, the poem makes sense and it does click together in a way, but it does not contain rhyming, lyrical verses.
