Answer: An example of how we use appearance to perceive things is seeing a very pretty, blonde lady and assuming she’s not smart. People think that beautiful, blonde women are not smart and have nothing but their looks so they use the woman’s appearance to perceive who she is. This is not always the case, there are beautiful women who are smart, but because of the stereotype some people assume there are none.
