Substitute the first equation into the second equation. You will get:
4x - (2x - 5) = 7
Distribute the negative sign into the parenthesis:
4x - 2x + 5 = 7
Simplify
2x + 5 = 7
Subtract 5 on both sides
2x = 2
x = 1
Now, substitute x = 1 into the first equation:
y = 2(1) - 5
y = 2 - 5
y = -3
The solution to the system of equations is (1, -3).
The sequence is not geometric because there is no common difference or common ratio between each term. it’s also not an Arithmetic Sequence
