As the person used is a well-known, respected member of society, the company or brand expect he/she enhances the cfedibility of the product or business. It is important to mention that the right celebrity must be chosen in order to have a succesful advertising campaign. That means that the celebrity must fit with the characteristisc of the product. For example, if you want to advertise some running shoes, you need to choose someone that is known for being fast, like Usain Bolt.
