Transcription is the process of formation of RNA molecule from the complementary DNA strand with the help of RNA polymerase. Transcription process requires different enzymes and chemical factors.
RNA polymerase enzyme binds to the DNA template and adds nucleotides to the growing RNA strand, complementary to the template DNA strand. Hence, this enzyme synthesizes the RNA template from the DNA strand.
