Answer:

The organism takes energy and utilizes it for sustaining its life. The energy that is obtained by eating food is not completely transferred to another level.

Only 10% of the total energy is transferred to another level so all the energy present in the organism is not transferred to another organism.

Rest of the energy is utilized by the organism itself to perform the various metabolic processes of the body.
