The rule, known as Le Châtelier principle, states that if an external stress is applied to a system al equilibrium, the system adjusts in such a way that the stress is partially offset as the system reaches a new equilibrium position. In this case "stress" is a change in concentration.
When the concentration of silver ion is halved, more Ag2S units dissociate in order to reach a new equilibrium position, thus the equilibrium shifts from left to right
Remember. chemical equilibrium is achieved when the rates of the forward and reverse reactions are equal and the concentrations of the reactants (Ag2S) and products (Ag and S) remain constant.
First, both ingredients are excellent at dissolving tough grime. However, vinegar alone will simply run off of most surfaces, while dish soap is too thick to use as a spray. But when you mix them together, you get an effective, sprayable cleaner that sticks to any surface!
