You must know all the facts of whatever it is, otherwise, you will look like a fool and your speech will fail. If you are not passionate about the topic you give a speech about you won't be able to express feelings and just simply be stating something, this is not good because speeches are supposed to open people's minds and hearts and if your not passionate about it how could you expect to make someone else care? Lastly, you need practice. Practice, practice, practice. This will help you know how to say your speech, prevent slip ups, and gain confidence.
