Not sure what you mean by species, but the ph of a solution is determined by the concentration of hydroxide and/or hydrogen. Water is the perfect neutral contain one hydrogen atom and one hydroxide atom. Bases are more basic the higher amount of hydroxide present, and vice versa.

$pKa_3=-Log[4.8x10^-^13]=12.31$

The closer value is pKa2 with a value of 7.2. Therefore we have to use the second reaction. In which $H_2PO_4^-^1$ is the acid and $HPO_4^-^2$ is the base. Therefore the answer for the first question is B and the answer for the second question is C.

This is an extremely exothermic reaction (i.e a reaction which produces heat) resulting into release of massive amount of energy in the form of heat and sometimes light. The reaction produces much more energy as compared to a similar mass of a conventional fuel, such as Petrol/Kerosene/Petroleum Gas etc. This makes Nuclear fission an extremely dense and at times very destructive source of energy. Some common elements capable of Nuclear fission are Uranium, Plutonium etc. Though in modern days Nuclear Fission are finding application in being a source of energy (such as a Nuclear power plant), but they are also used in destructive format as Nuclear Bombs and it's one of the top most imminent threats to the existence of humanity in future (in the event of a Nuclear war).
