English has <u>three</u> main tenses and <u>four</u> forms of each.
The main tenses in English are <u>past, present </u>and<u> future</u>, which have the <u>simple, perfect, perfect progressive </u>and<u> progressive</u> forms.
An example of each form would be:
Simple past: She sang.
Simple present: She sings.
Simple future: She will sing.
Past Perfect: She had sung.
Present Perfect: She has sung.
Future Perfect: She will have sung.
Past Perfect Progressive: She had been singing.
Present Perfect Progressive: She has been singing.
Future Perfect Progressive: She will have been singing.
