Square roots are numbers. if you multiply a number by itself then it is a square number. if you are looking to find a square root of a number, a square root is finding the number that was squared (multiplied by itself) to make the other number. For example, the square root of 4 = 2 2×2 =4 Another example, square root of 64 is 8 8×8 is 64 :)
